California housing market set new price records in June -- Associated Press
California housing market set new price records in June: "Demand for California houses and condos surged in June, driving sales volume and prices to record highs even as the annual rate of home appreciation declined in some areas, a real estate research firm said Tuesday.
The median price paid for a home in California last month was $445,000, up 4.2 percent from $427,000 in May and a 16.5 percent increase over $382,000 in June 2004, according to DataQuick Information Systems."
