Email tutorial

I've completed the email tutorial page, which demonstrates step-by-step how to set up your missionpaloalto.org email account using either Outlook Express 6 or Mozilla Thunderbird. Generic congfiguration instructions are also provided. Check it out here. Contact me if your particular email client is not listed.

----
Update 2008-03-03: With the move to the new Web provider, the local email tutorial is both out-of-date and obsolete. While you can use a local email client (e.g. Outlook or Thunderbird) it's strongly recommended that you instead use the Web mail client or forward your MissionPaloAlto.org mail to a Gmail or Yahoo account.

In the past week, EPA residents have received notices of proposed sewer rate increases and water supply rate increases. If you have an opinion on whether these rate increases should occur, please make it known.

The public hearing for sewer rate increases will occur at the address below at 6:30 PM on Thursday, July 15. Any written protests must be received by that date.
You can file a protest against the sewer rate increases by sending a letter to:
East Palo Alto Sanitary District
901 Weeks Street
East Palo Alto, CA 94303
Attention: Karen Maxey

The public hearing for water supply rate increases will occur at 7:30 PM at:
East Palo Alto Public Works Department
2415 University Avenue
East Palo Alto, CA 94303

The protest mechanism against water supply rate increases is not as well-defined in the public notice as was the sewer rate increases, but sending a letter stating your position to the address shown above should suffice.

Homeowners should receive their June 2004 statements and May-June newsletters today. I will have the newsletter posted here as soon as I receive the file.
Reminder: The next HOA board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 9, at 7:00 PM, unit 151.

If you are a committee chair and wish to be contactable through the mail form, please let me know. This would be a good way of presenting committee business (e.g. architectural proposals, common area issues) in an informal setting, before calling for a committee meeting.
